Silver sulfate is an inorganic salt and metal sulfate with the chemical formula Agâ‚‚SOâ‚„.

It has a pH of 5–6, a bulk density of 1200 kg/m3, and a solubility of 8 g/l.
It is highly hazardous to water and can cause serious eye damage. 
Silver sulfate is used as an oxidizer for aromatic and unsaturated organic substances.
Silver compounds, including silver sulfate, are also used to impregnate bandages for wounds.
