Laboratory Applications:
The diazonium salt of sulfanilic acid may be used in the preparation of azo dyes such as o-anisaldehyde, orange IÂ and orange II.
It may also be used in the preparation of 2,6-dibromoaniline via bromination followed by desulfonation
